The full Hawkins Antiques collection - featuring pieces of 18th and 19th century British and French antique furniture spanning Georgian mahogany, Regency rosewood, Victorian burr walnut, Edwardian satinwood, and French Louis XV, Louis XVI, and Belle Époque pieces. From investment-grade maker-attributed cabinets to honest country furniture, every piece is personally sourced and inspected by three generations of dealers from our Barry showroom, with free white-glove delivery to UK mainland.
Hawkins Antiques has been trading since 1960. Over three generations the family has built one of the largest specialist stockholdings of British and French period furniture in South Wales - a 7,000 square foot warehouse holding cabinets, sideboards, dining tables, chairs, vitrines, desks, commodes, mirrors, and decorative pieces ranging from £750 to £28,500. The breadth allows us to furnish single rooms, complete properties, or supply trade buyers and interior designers with confidence.
Authenticity and condition come first. Where a piece carries a maker's stamp, signature, or stencil - Edwards & Roberts, Gillows, Maple & Co, François Linke, Krieger - we research and document the attribution properly. Where a piece is anonymous, it is described as such. Condition is reported honestly: original ormolu mounts, replaced handles, period repairs, restoration history - all stated openly. We do not hide behind the word "antique".
