Returns & Refund Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase from Hawkins Antiques. Please read our returns policy carefully before buying.

14-Day Return Period As an online retailer we offer a 14-day return period in accordance with UK distance selling regulations. You have 14 days from the date of receiving your item to request a return.

Condition of Returns To be eligible for a return, the item must be returned in the same condition as it was received — undamaged and unaltered. As all our pieces are antique or vintage furniture, we ask that you inspect your item thoroughly upon delivery and notify us of any concerns immediately.

Return Shipping The cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the customer for change of mind returns. Given the nature of antique furniture, we strongly recommend using a specialist antique furniture courier and ensuring the item is fully insured for its purchase value during transit. Hawkins Antiques cannot accept responsibility for items damaged in transit during a return.

Damaged or Incorrect Items If your item arrives damaged or is not as described, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs. In this case we will cover all return shipping costs and offer either a full refund or replacement where possible.

Non-Returnable Items The following cannot be returned:

  • Items that have been altered, restored or modified after purchase
  • Bespoke or specially sourced items ordered at your request
  • Items damaged after delivery due to improper handling or storage

Refunds Once your return has been received and inspected we will notify you of the outcome within 5 business days. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days.

European Union If your order is being shipped into the European Union you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days for any reason. The item must be returned in its original condition and you will be responsible for return shipping costs.
