Collection: Edwardian Furniture

A specialist collection of antique Edwardian furniture dating from approximately 1901 to 1910 — including Edwardian display cabinets, satinwood painted furniture, mahogany inlaid dressing tables, glazed vitrines, and elegant Edwardian writing desks. Edwardian furniture is characterised by lighter timbers, delicate painted decoration, and refined Sheraton Revival craftsmanship — making it some of the most elegant English antique furniture available. Every piece of Edwardian furniture for sale in our collection is personally sourced from our Barry showroom and comes with free delivery throughout the UK mainland.

The Edwardian period produced furniture of extraordinary refinement — a deliberate reaction against the heavier forms of the Victorian era. Cabinet makers of the period drew on the earlier Sheraton and Hepplewhite traditions, producing pieces of exceptional lightness and elegance: satinwood and mahogany veneers, stringing and crossbanding in contrasting timbers, and delicate hand-painted neoclassical decoration in the form of oval medallions, ribbon-tied swags, and foliate borders.

If you are looking to buy Edwardian antique furniture in the UK, you are purchasing directly from specialists with three generations of hands-on expertise. We carry maker-attributed pieces — including examples by Hampton & Sons, Maple & Co, and Flashman & Co — alongside fine anonymous examples of equivalent quality. Our stock regularly includes Edwardian display cabinets, satinwood furniture, writing desks, dressing tables, and other decorative pieces representative of the period. Condition is described accurately and honestly throughout, and free white-glove delivery is included to the UK mainland.
