The marquetry top is largely sound with no significant losses to the inlay - there are minor surface marks consistent with age and use, which in no way detract from the decorative impact of the panel. The brass gallery is present and intact with honest patination.

The curved drawer runs smoothly and the original ring pull is present. The lower under-tier is sound. All four original brass sabots are present and intact . The legs are firm and stable. A piece that is ready to use immediately with no restoration required.
