Antique Cabinets

Antique cabinets for sale including display cabinets, glazed cabinets, vitrines, side cabinets, credenzas, corner cabinets and decorative French and English cabinet furniture. Our collection includes antique display vitrines, Vernis Martin cabinets, satinwood display cabinets and Victorian glazed cabinets, all sourced by three generations of the Hawkins family since 1960.

From ornate French kingwood vitrine cabinets with ormolu mounts and Vernis Martin panels to elegant English satinwood display cabinets and Victorian mahogany side cabinets, every piece is hand-selected, honestly described, and available with free UK mainland delivery.

Our antique cabinets collection spans some of the most decorative forms in 18th, 19th and early 20th-century furniture. French kingwood vitrines in the manner of François Linke and Maison Millet sit alongside Edwardian satinwood painted display cabinets, Victorian mahogany glazed cabinets, burr walnut credenzas, mahogany side cabinets and maker-attributed pieces.

Antique display cabinets and vitrines form an important part of our wider antique cabinets collection. Our stock regularly includes French kingwood vitrines, Vernis Martin display cabinets, Edwardian satinwood glazed cabinets and Victorian mahogany display cabinets. Many of our cabinets are ideal for displaying porcelain, silver, glassware, books, clocks and decorative objects, while others work beautifully as statement storage pieces for hallways, dining rooms, drawing rooms and studies.

When buying an antique cabinet, condition and proportion matter. We check glazing, shelves, interiors, veneers, locks, keys, handles, ormolu mounts, marble tops and any historic restoration before listing. Every cabinet is described clearly so buyers know exactly what they are purchasing.

Based in Barry, South Wales, Hawkins Antiques offers free UK mainland delivery on antique cabinets using our trusted delivery team. We also ship internationally using specialist fine art couriers.

Types of Antique Cabinets We Stock

Antique Display Cabinets & Vitrines

Glazed display cabinets and vitrines are designed to showcase fine objects while adding elegance to a room. Our stock often includes French kingwood vitrines, Vernis Martin cabinets, Edwardian satinwood display cabinets and Victorian mahogany glazed cabinets.

Credenzas

Antique credenzas are highly decorative cabinet pieces, often with marble tops, porcelain plaques, ormolu mounts, burr walnut veneers or glazed side doors. They work well in dining rooms, hallways and formal reception rooms.

Side Cabinets

Side cabinets offer practical storage while retaining strong decorative appeal. They are ideal for interiors where a full display cabinet may be too tall or imposing.

Corner Cabinets

Corner cabinets are useful for making elegant use of difficult spaces, especially in dining rooms, sitting rooms and hallways.
