Craftsmanship & Detail

The cabinet is constructed in richly figured walnut and enhanced with fine marquetry inlay throughout the frieze, uprights, and plinth. The quality of the veneers displays wonderful grain patterns and warm colour, creating a striking visual appearance from every angle.

The large glazed door opens to reveal fitted display shelves lined in decorative fabric, providing excellent display space for antiques, ceramics, silverware, books, or treasured collections. Presented in good original antique condition with age-related wear, surface marks, minor scratches, and natural patina consistent with age and use. The walnut veneers retain excellent colour and figuring throughout, while the marquetry decoration and ormolu mounts remain highly decorative.

The cabinet remains structurally sound and displays beautifully. The glazed door operates correctly and the interior shelving provides practical display storage. An honest example of a genuine Victorian cabinet retaining its period charm and character.
