The cabinet is arranged as an impressive three-part compactum, with a central glazed bookcase positioned above three generously proportioned drawers and flanked by two full-height wardrobe compartments. The bow-fronted wardrobe doors are veneered in beautifully matched satinwood arranged in striking chevron patterns. Each door is centred by a long painted reserve incorporating an oval classical romantic scene, surrounded by scrolling ornament, urn motifs and delicate floral decoration. Further painted floral details appear around the door frames and cornice, adding colour and individuality without overwhelming the refined satinwood ground.
The central upper section features a pair of glazed doors with elegant oval glazing bars, opening to reveal adjustable shelving suitable for books, folded clothing, decorative objects or personal collections.
