The central section features astragal-glazed doors opening to adjustable shelves, with a bank of drawers beneath for linen or accessories. Each flanking cupboard provides full-height hanging space with original rails - making this piece as practical as it is decorative. The hand-painted oval panels depicting romantic pastoral scenes are framed by neoclassical scrolling and floral decoration of considerable refinement, entirely characteristic of the finest Edwardian satinwood cabinet-making. The breakfront plinth base and moulded cornice complete a silhouette of elegant and well-resolved proportion.
