Craftsmanship & Detail
The upper cabinet is fitted with a pair of tall glazed doors, each arranged with elegant astragal glazing bars incorporating diamond-shaped panels and elongated shaped reserves. This creates a highly decorative façade while allowing books, porcelain, glassware, silver or decorative collections to remain clearly visible.
The cabinet is crowned by an especially attractive carved and pierced pediment, centred by a classical urn finial and enriched with scrolling laurel swags. Beneath, the moulded cornice and carved latticework frieze demonstrate the strong influence of eighteenth-century Chippendale design.
The lower section incorporates a useful full-width drawer with decorative moulded detailing, providing concealed storage beneath the display cabinet. The piece is raised on an elegant open stand with fluted legs, pierced corner brackets and a decorative stretcher, giving the cabinet a lighter and more refined architectural appearance.
With its narrow 102cm width, generous height and practical shelved interior, this is a highly versatile cabinet suitable for a drawing room, library, dining room, hallway or luxury contemporary interior. Its combination of scale, craftsmanship and decorative glazing gives it strong long-term appeal for collectors and interior designers alike.
