Craftsmanship & Detail

The clock features a beautifully proportioned mahogany case with warm rich colouring and attractive figured veneers throughout. The hood is decorated with a shaped swan-neck style pediment, carved floral scrollwork, and fluted columns framing an elegant brass dial with Roman numerals and pierced hands. Further carved detailing appears throughout the trunk and base, adding depth and refinement to the overall design. Its narrower grandmother clock proportions make it particularly versatile for hallways, living rooms, studies, or interiors where a full-size longcase clock may be impractical while still retaining strong decorative presence.

Presented in good antique condition commensurate with age and use. The mahogany case retains a rich warm colour and attractive aged patina throughout, with the carved detailing remaining crisp and well defined.

The brass dial displays beautifully with honest age-related patination consistent with a genuine antique clock. The structure is sound and stable overall, with minor age-related surface wear and marks adding character and authenticity.
