The shaped top is surrounded by a pierced brass gallery, framing a charming hand-painted lacquer panel in the traditional Vernis Martin style. Below sits a single drawer to the frieze, also decorated with a painted landscape scene and fitted with its working key and tassel.

The table stands on graceful cabriole legs with gilt bronze mounts, terminating in decorative sabots. A shaped lower tier provides additional display space and features further painted lacquer decoration, enhancing the overall decorative appeal.
