A fine antique Victorian mahogany extending dining table, dating from circa 1880 and raised on elegant carved ball and claw feet.

Crafted from richly coloured mahogany, the table features a beautifully moulded edge and stands on substantial carved cabriole legs with detailed acanthus carving to the knees. The legs terminate in traditional ball and claw feet fitted with original castors.

The table extends using three additional leaves, allowing it to comfortably seat large gatherings, making it an impressive Victorian extending dining table for both family dining and entertaining.

The warm tone and attractive grain of the mahogany combine with the strong proportions and classical carving to create a striking example of 19th century antique dining room furniture.

Tables of this type remain highly desirable thanks to their practicality and timeless design, fitting equally well within period homes or traditional interiors.

Extending mechanism smooth. All three leaves present and matching. Table top shows minor age-consistent marks. Structure solid. Ready to use immediately.
