A fine antique Victorian burr walnut games table, dating to circa 1880, featuring a beautifully figured burr walnut top with delicate inlaid detailing. The elegant fold-over design reveals a green baize playing surface, making this a highly practical and decorative antique card table.

The rectangular top is richly veneered in burr walnut with a contrasting inlaid border and central motif, showcasing excellent craftsmanship and striking natural grain. Condition Note:  This games table presents in very good antique condition for its age. The burr walnut veneer is sound with no significant lifting or losses - there is minor surface wear consistent with age and regular use, which only adds to the warmth and patination of the piece. The marquetry inlay is complete and intact throughout - top, base platform, and legs - with no missing sections.

The fold-over mechanism operates correctly and the top sits level and firm when both closed and open. The green baize playing surface is the original cloth - it shows age-related marking and light wear consistent with genuine use, which is expected and entirely in keeping with a 140-year-old games table. It remains fully functional as a playing surface.

The turned base is firm and stable with no repairs or replacements evident. All four original brass castors are present and the table moves freely on them. The central urn-and-finial is intact.
