The commode is presented in good antique condition commensurate with its age of over 120 years. The satinwood veneer is sound and intact throughout, retaining the rich golden patina expected from a genuine piece of this period. The hand-painted decoration remains intact across all surfaces - the romantic figural panels, floral swags, and ornamental motifs are all clearly defined with no significant losses or overpainting of note.

The cabinet doors open and close correctly and the four tapering legs remain sound and stable.
