Condition Note:  The compactum is in good antique condition commensurate with its age of over 100 years. The satinwood veneer is sound and well-preserved throughout with the warm golden patina of age. The marquetry inlay is intact across all surfaces - the floral swags, scrolling acanthus and foliate motifs are all clearly defined and well-preserved with no significant losses. The four drawers run smoothly. The central cupboard and flanking hanging sections are fully functional with their original fittings intact. The oval mirrored doors to the flanking sections retain their original mirror plates. The gilt acorn finial is present and intact.
