A fine quality antique mahogany longcase grandfather clock, dating to circa 1920 and beautifully crafted in the traditional English style.

The elegant mahogany case is enhanced with decorative inlay, including a central oval panel featuring floral motifs, adding visual interest and refinement. The hood is of classic arched form, flanked by turned columns with gilt capitals, and surmounted by a brass eagle finial, giving the clock strong presence and architectural appeal.

The dial features a striking brass face with silvered chapter ring, Roman numerals, and finely pierced hands, typical of quality early 20th century longcase clocks.

The trunk door opens to reveal a brass pendulum, housed within a well-proportioned case that stands tall yet remains elegant in profile.

Condition Note:  In good condition commensurate with age. The mahogany case is sound and attractive throughout — the inlaid marquetry to the trunk door is intact and displays beautifully. The satinwood banding is well-preserved. The brass dial retains its character with a warm, honest patina — the engraving to the spandrels remains crisp and clear. The swan neck pediment and eagle finial are complete and undamaged. The pendulum bob is present.
