Condition Note:  The cabinet is in good antique condition commensurate with its age. The mahogany case is sound and stable throughout. All ormolu mounts the gallery, fringe, corner mounts, apron mount and leg mounts are all in good order. The Vernis Martin painted panel retains its scene clearly with authentic craquelure consistent with genuine age - this is not damage but the natural patination of old varnish. The crimson velvet interior lining shows honest age-related wear consistent with a cabinet of this period. The two glass shelves are present. The glazed door and sides are intact.
