A fine quality 19th-century French two-tier étagère or occasional table, crafted in richly figured plum pudding mahogany and dating from circa 1870.

The table features two generously sized tiers with a beautifully polished surface, supported by elegant cabriole legs with finely cast gilt bronze mounts. Four pull-out slides extend smoothly from the lower tier, providing additional practical surface space while retaining excellent proportions.

The mahogany displays exceptional colour, depth, and grain throughout, with a warm patina developed over time. Finished with delicate ormolu detailing to the apron and legs, this piece offers both decorative elegance and functional versatility.
