The frame is painted ivory white with parcel-gilt highlights to the mouldings, slender cabriole legs, and a carved floral cartouche to the centre apron - a combination that gives the piece its characteristic French lightness and refinement. The deep-buttoned back and generous seat are upholstered in salmon-pink velvet, finished throughout with brass stud detailing to all edges. Compact in scale yet generous in comfort, this piece transforms a bedroom corner, dressing room, or entrance hall beautifully.
