This writing table is presented in very good antique condition. The parquetry top remains sound throughout with no significant lifting or losses, displaying excellent colour and decorative detail. Minor surface wear consistent with age and genuine use is present, adding warmth and authenticity to the piece.

The ormolu mounts are all present and complete, retaining attractive original gilding together with natural aged patination. The figural drawer plaque is particularly well cast with crisp detail and no damage. The frieze drawer runs smoothly and all four legs remain firm and stable with no repairs or replacements evident.
