The beautifully matched kingwood veneers in elegant chevron parquetry, finely cast gilt bronze mounts, and Louis XV Revival proportions reflect the sophistication associated with Zwiener-inspired furniture of the Belle Époque.

Craftsmanship & Detail

The shaped demi-lune top opens to reveal a green baize-lined playing surface bordered by a polished kingwood surround - the chevron parquetry veneers framed by a finely worked gilt bronze edge reflecting the sophistication of the finest Belle Époque Parisian cabinetmaking. The frieze is finely contoured and enriched with exquisitely cast gilt bronze mounts displaying flowing acanthus scrolls and floral motifs characteristic of the Louis XV Revival aesthetic. The four slender cabriole legs, each adorned with finely chased ormolu mounts and terminating in decorative sabots, complete a piece of elegant proportion and strong decorative presence - working beautifully as a games table, centre table, or refined occasional table in classical or contemporary interiors alike.
