Description
A beautiful antique Edwardian satinwood dressing table vanity, dating from circa 1910.
This elegant satinwood dressing table with triple mirror back is finely crafted and decorated with delicate satinwood crossbanding and attractive parquetry style inlay to the drawer fronts. The shaped mirror back features a central arched mirror flanked by two hinged mirrors, allowing adjustable viewing angles.
The dressing table provides excellent storage with multiple drawers to the base as well as two small drawers beneath the mirrors, all fitted with original brass handles. The piece stands on slender tapering legs joined by a graceful shaped stretcher, typical of Edwardian satinwood furniture inspired by Sheraton designs.
Satinwood furniture from the Edwardian period remains highly desirable for its elegant proportions, warm colour and refined decorative detail. Pieces such as this work beautifully as an antique dressing table, vanity table or bedroom centrepiece.
A stylish and practical example of antique satinwood bedroom furniture, ideal for both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Circa 1910.
