Craftsmanship & Detail

Constructed from richly figured mahogany, this charming dressing table mirror features a shaped shield-form bevelled mirror plate, framed by elegant hand-painted decoration and finely shaped supports. The proportions are graceful and refined, capturing the lighter decorative taste associated with quality Edwardian furniture.

Particularly desirable is the pair of concealed side cabinets incorporated into the base. Each cupboard door is decorated with oval hand-painted landscape scenes and opens to reveal useful storage compartments, originally intended for jewellery, dressing accessories, correspondence or personal items.
