Glazing & Glass Condition

Original glass is far preferable to modern replacement glass on antique vitrines — old glass has a slight imperfection and warmth that modern float glass lacks entirely. Check for cracks, chips, or replaced panes. On curved glass vitrines, original curved glass is particularly valuable and difficult to replace — check it carefully. Ormolu Mounts
